Yehuda Maimon (Poldek)

Yehuda Maimon (Poldek) A member of the Hehaluts Halohem (Fighting Pioneer) resistance group in Kraków, participated in “Operation Cyganeria,” deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau, where he was a member of the communist underground; escaped from the death march. After the liberation, he became a Bricha activist in Poland, Romania, and Italy. In 1945, he joined the Nakam group and participated in the plan to undertake revenge against German war prisoners in Nuremberg, Germany.
