Mira Verbin (Szwecki)
Fought as a partisan in the Narocz forests; liberated in Vilna in the summer of 1944 at age 26, joined one of the first groups of former partisans from the Soviet zone on the Bricha routes from Vilna to Lublin and thence to Bucharest. In Romania, she joined the thirty or so members of the Nakam group, which split into small squads. Mira headed for Nuremberg, Germany, via Italy for the purpose of harming SS men prisoners.
