Simcha Rotem (Kazik)

Simcha Rotem (Kazik) a member of the Jewish Combat Organization in the Warsaw ghetto; led the last survivors of the uprising through sewage mains to the “Aryan” side of the city; liberated by Red Army forces at the age of 20. In 1945, he joined the Nakam group and was active in the Bricha movement as cover for Abba Kovner’s Nakam underground.
